The answer: choice number "3." Terry's BMI, though 30 did not make him obese because he was a weight-lifter.

Generally, BMI measurements are very good at indicating whether someone is overweight. A BMI over 25 indicates one is overweight; over 30 that one is obese. HOWEVER; there are certain circumstances where this does NOT apply. These circumstances include pregnancy, childhood and having lots of muscle (just like Terry).
